According to the Myers-Briggs Personality Test, I am an ENFP. For those of you not in the know, that stands for Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeler, Perceiver, as opposed to an Introverted, Something, Thinker, Judger (eew). I found parts of the description creepily accurate, particularly about my enthusiasm and zest for life, excitement about life’s possibilities, giving and seeking of approval, and hatred of routine, which is too bad, because I want to go to med school. And I plan to! For the next 13 years. An inner part of me is a rebel. I am anti-routine. I love learning. I love my comfy life in my cute apartment next to the fabulous mountains. However, there are days that I can’t stop nursing my desire to retreat to the Whitsunday’s, the Himalayas, the Andes, the Sahara, and questing for adventure. I prepare plates of fruits and cheeses. I miss my friends. I yearn for colors. Who am I? I am not entirely sure. Here is what I normally say…

First and foremost, I love life. It is pretty much the best thing ever. Hooray! My name is Kristen Michelle French. Hawaii is my dreamland filled with soft salty waves and luscious pineapple, but lately I have had a strange desire for the temperate broadleaf forests and estuaries of the Pacific Northwest. I love being a student, and I like science classes it turns out. I have extreme weaknesses for soft cheeses, dark chocolate and red wine. My last big trip was around Europe, my next will probably be to Nepal. I love surfing,with my whole heart, as well as mountains and running in them. I am a vegetarian and I like milk. I have discovered a passion for interior design and renewable energy, although I don’t really do either since I have decided to do medicine. I love being surprised at little things that I discover even in a place that I think that I know. I love my family and my cat, and wish I had seen more of the 80’s. I miss playing a lot of cards and pool. I miss my friends who are away.

Also, I am going to sail around the world. This of course requires a boat, and really learning how to sail, but it is going to be awesome!
