Full story
Yes, it is that time of year again. The time that I love to revel in making unreasonable goals (at least this last year’s were.) Goals with timelines are great! And so is the embarrassment of failing to reach them for a public audience, so that is why I am posting them here. As an update from last year, I did drink enough water, visit a friend in a far away place, and minimize taking things personally, but failed to make my IRA contribution, do 500 hours of health related things (70), and I cannot do the splits. Darn!
Let’s hope I do better in 2009. I did decide to simplify though, there are only 2, just with detailed subgoals, that is simpler, right?
1. Get into medical school!
School: Get an A in physiology
MCAT: 35 or higher. Spend 30 hours a week on it. More if necessary, try my hardest.
Health Related Experiences: 5-10 hours/week, shadow 2 docs
Doctor prep: read an article every day in the health field/scientific papers
Committee letter: meet deadlines and prepare thoroughly
Personal Statement: Write 1st draft by January 5th. Read book. Edited by 10 people.
Sanity: Meet with Sarah
2. Be Healthy!
Exercise 4 days a week
Drink 5 glasses H2O a day
Get more flexible
Take time to relax every day
I’ll let you know how I do next year!
Happy New Year to all!
